STEP 3 Cont'd. SELECTING COLORS
After you have selected the type layout and the background you would like for your color business cards. It's time to make the most critical decision- that of choosing your colors.
We highly recommend that you don't choose more than 3 colors. More colors you have, the more muddy your card will look like. Trust me, I'm talking from experience!
If you choose a dark background, we recommend that you select a light color to contrast it. For a light background, select a dark color. However, if you want a light color on a light background, because it fits your company's image, then you must add a drop shadow (routinely in black), so that your type will be readable.
One Final Note: In selecting the colors below, we have taken into consideration that there is a very minimal color shift when we convert these monitor colors (RGB) to printing colors (CMYK). However if there is a color that you want, that is not shown here, and you know its CMYK value or Pantone #, then by all means submit that to us instead when you fill out our order form.. We will be more than happy to use it.
